Indications:

Clears heat and detoxifies, reduces swelling, and soothes the throat. Suitable for acute pharyngitis (and acute exacerbations of chronic pharyngitis) with a wind-heat pattern or accumulation of heat in the lung and stomach, characterized by throat pain, dryness, burning sensation, thirst with a desire to drink, fever or slight aversion to cold, loss of appetite, dry stools, a red tongue with a yellow coating, and a rapid pulse.
